CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – A police operation against “tambays (loiterers)” in Mabalacat City helped solve a robbery allegedly committed by a drug suspect who was killed in a Wednesday morning (June 27) drug bust.

Prince Tian Reyes fired his gun at an undercover police officer during a sting operation along Ilang-Ilang St. in Barangay Dau, according to Supt. Ruel Cagape, Mabalacat City police chief.

The police reported seizing from Reyes at least P1,000 worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth), and assorted identification cards belonging to various people.

Elsewhere, the police accosted people, who said they stayed out late to track down a thief who turned out to be Reyes.

According to Cagape, their stolen items were found in a room rented by Reyes. The police said the evidence ties Reyes to a string of burglaries.

In Floridablanca town, the police arrested drug suspect Joseph Christian Matitu, 30, and two accomplices during a drug bust on Tuesday night (June 26), according to Supt. Dulnoan Dinamling Jr., the town police chief.

The police reported seizing 10 sachets of suspected shabu, two boxes and a small bottle of sex-enhancing drugs.
