Man arrested in Mandaluyong for stealing roommate’s wallet

A man who allegedly took his roommate’s wallet was arrested on Monday in Mandaluyong City.

Police identified the suspect as Kenneth Jorish Esacrion, 26, a call center agent.

According to a spot report from the Eastern Police District, the complainant, 23-year-old IT programmer Alec Jan Cheng was on his way to work around 12 noon when he noticed that he left his wallet at home.

Cheng went back to their shared condo unit along Boni Avenue in Plainview where he discovered his wallet containing cash and credit cards was stolen.

Cheng then filed a complaint before the police station against Esacrion.

Cheng said the suspect befriends his workmates to get their personal information needed to access their credit cards.

The police said other victims had surfaced and supported Cheng’s claims, adding that Esacrion goes into hiding after robbing from the victim.

The suspect was charged of theft, estafa, and violation of Republic Act 8484 or Access Devices Regulation Act of 1998. Carol Balita, Inquirer.net intern/je
