The Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) assured that it was making major adjustments in its standard operating procedures to prevent errors in the agency’s social media posts and press statements in the future.

“We are taking the necessary steps to avoid these mistakes,” PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar said in a text message on Sunday after his agency’s latest blunder on social media, which misstated Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian’s first name as “Winston” for which he apologized.

Earlier errors included referring to Norway as “Norwegia” and the late National Security Adviser Roilo Golez as “Rogelio.” —Julie M. Aurelio
