Cavite drug suspect slain in buy-bust

SAN PEDRO CITY – A man tagged as an illegal drug pusher was killed in a sting operation in Silang town in Cavite province early on Friday.

A report from the Calabarzon police named the suspect as Junelson Valencia.

Police said they conducted a buy bust operation around 5 a.m. along the Kaong-Bulihan road in Barangay Kaong, wherein Valencia sold to an undercover policeman a sachet of suspected shabu (crystal meth).

Valencia suddenly drew out a gun and fired at the policemen, prompting law enforcers to shoot him, the report said. MARICAR CINCO
