3 slain in 2-day police drug ops in Bulacan

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, BULACAN — Three drug suspects were killed while three others were arrested during encounters with the police in operations conducted on Tuesday (June 19) and Wednesday (June 20) in different Bulacan towns.

At 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday in the City of San Jose del Monte, police killed a suspect identified only as “Nonong.”

The police were conducting a drug buy-bust operation against Romeo Labrador, 38, a suspect in the drug watch list of Zambales province, when his accomplice Nonong fired at undercover policemen and was killed when the police returned fire.

Labrador, his wife Teresa, and Edwin Santos, were arrested in possession of six sachets of shabu (crystal meth) worth P25,000.
