Cebu cops nab ‘high value target’ suspect, seize P1.2M worth of shabu

CEBU CITY— More than P1 million worth of illegal drugs were seized from an alleged drug pusher during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City on Thursday night.

“High value target” Ukihiro Abella Zosa, 25, was detained at the Fuente police station pending the filing of drug charges against him, police said.

Seized from the suspect during the buy-bust operation were five medium and four large packs of suspected shabu, which was estimated to cost around P1.2 million.

The anti-illegal drugs operation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Unit of Fuente Police Station.

Insp. Gomercendo Mandawe, Fuente police deputy station commander and leader of the operation, said they decided to conduct a buy-bust against the suspect since he had been on their watch list of drug personalities.  /kga
